Confucius China Studies Program Ph.D. Fellowships for Int'l Students to Study at Xiamen University 2016
Xiamen University (XMU) founded in 1921, is a nationally-ranked and internationally-recognized comprehensive university with a wealth of experience in higher education, distinctive educational features, a full spectrum of disciplines, and a highly qualified faculty.
The 2016 Confucius China Studies Program is now open for application. Prospective applicants need to apply online at http://ccsp.chinese.cn/ by 15th Feb. 2016. The fellowships consist of two subprograms, namely, the “Joint Research Ph.D. Fellowship” and “Ph.D. in China Fellowship”. Being the most valuable fellowships for international students in China, they are to provide financial support to specific research and other projects on designated academic areas of Humanities and Social Sciences. Recipients will be awarded research fund, tuition, lodging and living stipend, round-trip international airfare, etc. Detailed information about the Fellowships is available at our website.
Xiamen University (XMU) is among the 16 Chinese host universities designated by the Confucius Institute Headquarters. Since this Fellowships launched, a total of 30 fellowships recipients studied or are studying at XMU, while over 160 doctoral supervisors participate in this fellowships program.
Applications are welcome from master’s degree holders or doctoral students registered with foreign universities, who are fluent in Chinese and wish to further their studies on the academic areas of humanities and social sciences. Priority will be given to those who obtain letters of recommendation from a Confucius Institute. It is worth mentioning that XMU currently co-builds 16 Confucius Institutes around the world. Applicants can contact them or other Confucius Institutes in their host countries to get recommendation letters.
